The determination of amino acids in 0.1 ml. of blood plasma.

چکیده
A method has been developed for the determination of the following amino acids in 0.1 ml. of blood plasma: alanine, arginine, glutamine, glycine, lysine, serine, taurine, threonine, and valine. A micro Sephadex C-25 column was used to separate the plasma proteins from the amino acids. The amino acid fraction, which is collected in 1 ml. of eluate, is then desalted in an electrolytic desalter, and lyophilized. The residue is dissolved in 0.2 ml. 0.1N HCI, and 50 p.l. is applied to paper for 2-dimensional chromatography. The estimation of the amino acids is carried out by means of a photoelectric densitometer. The method incorporates a procedure for eliminating variations in paper density. The results obtained are in good agreement with those obtained by ionexchange procedures.

ABSTRACT Background and Objective: Measurement of amino acids is an important tool for metabolic studies and evaluation of patients’ clinical condition. The aim of this study was to analyze the plasma amino acids using reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography techniques (RP-HPLC) with pre-column derivatization by o-phthalaldehyde (OPA)...
متن کاملComparison of the Effect of Amino Acids and Their Derivatives on the Growth of Some Dermatophytes: An In Vitro Study
Background and Aims: Amino acids have different effects on the growth of some dermatophytes. Some may increase whereas others maydecrease their growth. The concentration of some amino acids is also an important factor for their effects. Materials and Methods: To investigate the effects of L-amino acids on the growth of six species of dermatophytes including Epidermophyton floccosum, Microspor...
متن کاملUptake and nitrate accumulation affected by partial replacement of nitrate-N with different source of amino acids in spinach and lettuce
As natural plant growth stimulators, amino acids are widely used to improve the yield and quality of crops. Change in enzymes activities of N assimilation (NR, NiR and GS), residual nitrate (NO3-), soluble protein content, and yield of spinach and lettuce plants were investigated under replacing 20% nitrate-N in the nutrient solution by L-glycine and blood meal amino acids. Seeds of the mention...

Background: Diabetes mellitus is one of the most common endocrine diseases. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is one of the leading causes of death in patients with type 2 diabetes. The aim of this study was to investigate the metabolic profile of plasma amino acids in diabetic patients with cardiovascular disease. Methods: The present study is a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study on 140 ...

The stability constants and complexation reaction between L-glutamine, L-arginine andglycine with Zn (II) , Co (II) and Ni (II) were studied potentiometrically in aqueous solution at25° C and μ=0.1 M KNO3. The overall stability constants log β´s of all species are obtained bycomputer refinement of pH-volume data using BEST computer program. Several models weretested and the lowest δFIT, the bes...
